When it comes to kitchen remodeling,
Houston residents are often very excited to get the process started. In all
of that excitement, however, don’t forget to properly prepare your kitchen for
the changes it’s about to undergo. Depending on the level of remodeling you’re
having done, you may need to remove all items from your kitchen. Even if you
don’t have to remove everything, it’s a good idea, since this will limit items
getting broken by accident or being marred by debris. Before you start packing,
however, pull out the items you’ll need during the remodeling process. If you
can’t live without that morning cup of coffee, for example, unplug the coffee
pot and find a place outside of the kitchen where you can store and use it
temporarily.
Pack up those items that you can live without during the
course of the remodel. For best results, use plastic containers for storage
rather than cardboard boxes, which can be damaged by water and tend to be a bit
on the flimsy side. Carefully label the boxes for easier unpacking after the
remodel is done.
